Samford Courtenay Village Hall Management Committee
Responsibilities
The Committee's responsibilities include the maintenance, renovation, lettings and administration of this fine property, which was built in the late 1800's as the Village School.

Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm at the hall and are open to all members of the parish. The maintenance team of volunteers normally work on Saturday mornings from 10.00am and if you have a few hours to spare your help would be much appreciated (you might even get a cup of tea!!)

Events arranged by the Committee include;

BINGO - 3rd Wednesday every month at 7-30pm

WHIST DRIVE - 2nd Wednesday from November to March at 7-30pm

SKITTLES, DANCES, BAR-B-Q's, QUIZZES, 50/50 AUCTIONS,

AUCTION OF PROMISES, DOG SHOW, CAR BOOT, JAZZ NIGHTS

and general Social Events of all kinds.

The Committee also encompasses the Millennium Committee, which was originally organised to arrange the Millennium Celebrations for the Parish and later arrange other events in the village with any profits going towards various facilities for the parish. It was decided to retain the committee and continue to organise social events for the parish and in fact a very successful Jubilee Day was enjoyed in 2002.

For more information contact Gillian Townsend Green (Sec.) 82446.

The Hall is available for private functions such as parties, weddings and meetings.
