Provided they had the use of a car and were not too elderly, most people could get to the doctor, hospital and dentist quite easily. The idea of a weekly GP surgery in the village was acceptable but a nurse might be sufficient.
The emergency services received generally favourable comment but - despite the low crime rate - parishioners would feel happier if the police presence was more prominent, although it is recognised that resources are stretched.
The provision of public toilets in the village is considered to be a facility that should be retained; ways will be sought to reduce costs. A public phone box should also remain and a considerable majority supports the continued existence of the village hall.
