MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS WORKING PARTY REPORT: The ceiling in the back storeroom is now finished and the shelves are being put up. The replacement floor has been discussed with Winkleigh Timber and oak was thought to be not as durable as either old pine or pitch pine. The prices for area to be covered (18' x 18') were between £700 for old pine and £1,200 for pitch pine. It was pointed out by SH that we already have £400 ring-fenced from last year's Flower Show towards this and it was proposed by RS, seconded by MW and all agreed that we should put aside £1,500 from funds for the work and materials.

EVENTS & LETTINGS WORKING PARTY REPORT: No further bookings since last meeting. The forthcoming barbecue was discussed. LB to do the draw, DT to do the skittles, GTG to make tickets. SH brought up the subject of the joint SC Open Gardens on 29th June. Meetings have been held by the sub committee and it had been agreed that the proceeds of anything sold at gardens would go into joint fund. The refreshments are in hand as are the posters, advertising etc. AM confirmed that the coach for the AwayDay on 13th September has been booked. The venue was further discussed and Bath and Torquay were voted on - Torquay being the one with most votes. It was thought that Bath would still be crowded at that time of year and on a Saturday.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS: LB asked JH to do Bingo in July and RS to do Whist in August, as he would be away.
