SECRETARY'S REPORT: No correspondence. Vreni Knights gave us two very nice, small tablecloths after the car boot sale. Have made a preliminary enquiry to D. Ware, sign writer, to see if he could do 4 signs saying Sampford Courtenay Village Hall for the roadside. They would be plastic, last about 10 years minimum, be washable and cost roughly between £100-£200. GTG to get a firm quotation with size etc.
TREASURER'S REPORT: Payments: £35 to Devon Association of Community Buildings and we are now on their website, which will link in with other Devon things; £21 for new licence; receipts for Dog Show; 2 bills for water and large one for electricity (which was almost covered by meter takings).

A loss of £23.58 was made on the Fings evening - just over 20 people came.
The Sampford Courtenay web site still not up to date - GTG to asked to communicate.

SH reported that last year's flower and produce show had a profit of about £400 and after their last meeting it was voted that this money should be used to replace defective floorboards in the hall.
MAINTENANCE & IMPROVEMENTS WORKING PARTY REPORT: TH reported that work to the ceiling in the back storeroom is still ongoing. Have got some shelves, which will be put up soon. The next project is to repair the floor near the staging where it is weakest, but this has not been priced up yet. Waterproofing on one wall in the kitchen needs to be done. In connection with the last meeting's suggestion to paint the railings on the steps, this will not be practical as they are galvanised. AM reported that he has met Mr. Woods and he has agreed to come and look at what we could achieve and give us a guide price. Coming Saturday 10.00 a.m.

LB has CD player and loudspeakers and MS will ask Roger Cleverdon if he will play his clarinet.
